The Great Piggish Bake-off

Pigs Gone Wild 19_3_16-2115b When Graham Shemmings, owner of nearby Homestyle, a manufacturer of windows and conservatories popped in to talk to us about hosting ‘The Great Piggish Bake-off’ final in our showroom on the 15 June, we were delighted to help and inspired by his vision for the Pigs Gone Wild project. The cake-baking competition will be judged by David and Lindsay Wright from Woodbridge Cake Shop with a live final between the top two bakers taking place on the state-of-the-art demo kitchen in our Martlesham showroom.

Pigs Gone Wild is an interactive sculpture trail across Ipswich and beyond, featuring giant pigs decorated by artists and sponsored by local businesses. It takes place from 27 June to 2 September. Homestyle has sponsored the ‘The Great Piggish Bake-off’ Pig, designed by Sue Guthrie, and has pledged to raise £10,000 for St Elizabeth Hospice. He will do this by donating £5 per visitor to their showroom and £20 for each new order placed from March through to 2 September. On top of this Graham is organising a 5-a-side football tournament, a golf day and family barbecue at Seckford Golf Club.

We see this opportunity for businesses to gain exposure through collaboration. We’re proud to continue our support for St Elizabeth Hospice alongside Graham, Homestyle and their Bake-off Pig.
