Suffolk Magazine Bathroom Update

Bathroom update AF Suffolk Mag Jan 2016We spend around 100 hours in the bath or shower each year, so it’s worth giving your bathroom design some serious thought. A few little tweaks can create a space that makes your daily ablutions something to look forward to and enjoy, claims Anglia Factors.
CREATE SPACE FOR EVERYONE
If you’re sharing a bathroom, perhaps two sinks will ease congestion at rush hour. Built-in cupboards, shelving or freestanding cabinets are worth their weight to control the pile of half empty shampoo bottles, toothpaste tubes, sanitary products and first aid supplies.
DON’T COMPROMISE
If you can’t fit a proper sized bath in, then opt for a spacious shower instead to give you the room to relax and unwind.
SET THE TEMP
A heated towel rail provides a functional and stylish heat source to take the edge off when you disrobe. Underfloor heating allows for the practicality of a tiled floor without the frozen feet!
VENTILATE
Keep your bathroom fresh, clean and mouldfree by installing super-charged extractor. This will help to reduce bacteria, mildew and that heavy, warm water-logged air that lingers far too long. Plus you’ll be able to see in the mirror without needing to wipe off the condensation.
LIGHT UP YOUR LIFE
You need to be able to see clearly at the mirror – for a number of reasons – so light it well. Consider a magnifying mirror to complement the main mirror too, you’ll never look back. Have a toned-down option too for that relaxing soak.
INDULGE
If you love a long soak, spoil yourself with a bathroom telly to watch your favourite programme in the tub. Bliss!
