We opened our brand new extended showroom last September. So how has it worked out?
We can display many more different styles of kitchens and bathrooms as well as storage ideas. Plus we have working coffee machines, ovens and hobs to allow us to demonstrate the appliances we offer. Our customers love the new space. It’s light, warm and welcoming and lets them see, touch and explore the various styles of cabinetry, gadgets and finishes. Many of them have commented on how great it looks and, more importantly, how useful it is in helping them to decide what elements they want in their own homes.
Furthermore the new showroom has enabled us to run a full programme of cooking demonstrations where we invite local chefs to use our amazing demo kitchen to show people how to cook various things. The kitchen has video cameras and microphones to give the audience clear idea of what’s going on. For example we had Vernon Blackmore from The Table in Woodbridge come and show the W.I. how to cook Gressingham Duck. It was great fun and really informative for the ladies. We have future dates booked in for the Home Economist from Neff to show how to get the most out of the Neff ovens as well as Celebrity Chef, Paul Foster, who always puts on a great show. Not only that but we go on the road providing a mobile demonstration kitchen for the Suffolk Show and Flavours Food & Drink festivals.
And we’ve been able to improve customer service; the library in our showroom acts as a comfortable private meeting room and is a great spot for us to take clients through their plans and update them on their project. And we have two members of the team with desks in the showroom so someone is always on hand to look after customers. Additionally, because we make all of our cabinetry in the workshop beside the showroom, our team is always very busy working with the carpenters and engineers to make sure everything is just right. Customers can see that their new kitchen is truly ‘Made in Martlesham’!
All in all the showroom has been a great innovation for our customers and us, but don’t take our word for it pop in and see us, we’re here to help.
