Modern ‘serving hatch’ redesign

07/08/2018

The client wanted to modernise their serving hatch, so our team of designers came up with an imaginative solution that involved a compromised open plan living area and a modernised kitchen, creating a bright and breezy bar area.

The kitchen has been designed to make the most of the space, with innovative storage solutions.  The curved white gloss cabinets and ‘in-trend’ handleless units make for a sophisticated finish, with the quartz worktop harmonising the look.

The white finish in the kitchen creates a sleek modern feel and ensures the space feels brighter and bigger, reflecting light, which bounces around the room.

With its pull-out nozzle and spray facility, the Franke tap was the perfect choice to allow the client to reach all areas of the Franke sink, the taps are not only fully functional but also create a contemporary look.

The Elica Barre cooker hood creates a showpiece, with its practicality and high performance, it also complements the modern design of the kitchen.  The Siemens induction hob, which only generates heat only where you need it, heats instantly and vanishes just as quickly when switched off.

Lighting is an essential part a kitchen re-design, it can set the right mood for cooking, eating and entertaining.  We worked with the team at Joseph Read programming to create a sophisticated and ambient cool blue look, which showcases the kitchen and creates a serene feel.  The lighting in the bar area is particularly distinctive, yet suitably subtle.
